You shouldn't be smoking in the first place. It's bad for your health, and the health of others. It's probably the reason you have tooth problems, anyway.

I'd agree with footprint. Having had my contacts up in the himalayas where it was very cold at night I found that having the solution and contacts cold was not a good idea . They weren't that comfortabel even after I'd warmed them and I moved ot having them in the sleeping bag at night.

You answered your own question. You're okay with what you have, that's like going to get beer when you've already got a fridge full. Do you know if enlargement is permanent? No? So why bother? Really.

Get a glutrometer and strips and you can test your blood on a regular basis. You can call most any company and they will give you a free meter because they want you to buy the expensive strips. Call Bayer for that. You can also purchase a cheap meter. . .that works just fine. . .at Walmart and much cheaper strips. You need to test on a regular basis. Check am to see if your sugar raises during the night. Check before a meal and then two hours after. Your sugar should return to normal in those two hours. If not, you are diabetic or simply eat way too much of the wrong thing or both. Normal is 80 to 120. Some have changed it to 70 to 110. If you suspect you have diabetes or have been diagnosed, you need to learn all you can and you need to test yourself on a regular basis to be sure you keep yourself in those normal zones.

This is called "vasomotor" rhinitis. It is caused by the blood vessels in the nose reacting to the changes in the temperature. You can think of it like similar to how drops of water form on the outside of your glass of ice water. Well, not exactly the same, but temperature changes the blood vessels in the nose, they will constrict or dilate.

For me Toric contact lenses work great. The brand I'm using now is Focus Dailies Toric. I tried regular contacts, Multi-Focal and Bi-Focal contacts this time around, after having tried regular contacts a few years back, which due to my astigmatism were blurry more often than they were clear, because they moved out of place every time I blinked (and a bad fit was more a cause of this, which I find out years later, more than due to the astigmatism, thanks to a few kindly Yahoo Answer posters.)

With any trauma to any body part, swelling is gonna happen. Swelling after a piercing is normal. Good thing it isn't painful. Ice, ice, and more ice. Also, ibuprofen kills pain, but is also an anti inflammatory, may work. Unfortunately you may have to deal with swelling for a bit. Just like with a tattoo, (and I have a bunch) it'll look ugly for a while while it heals b4 it looks nice.

You can test urine for blood sugar. When your blood sugar level exceeds 180 mg/dL, Kidney eliminates excess blood sugar along with urine.
The glucose urine test measures the amount of sugar (glucose) in a urine sample. The presence of glucose in the urine is called glycosuria or glucosuria.
Glucose tolerance test:
Normal blood values for a 75-gram oral glucose tolerance test used to check for type 2 diabetes:
* Fasting: 60 -100 mg/dL
* 1 hour: less than 200 mg/dL
* 2 hours: less than 140 mg/dL. Between 140 - 200 mg/dL is considered impaired glucose tolerance (sometimes called "prediabetes"). This group is at increased risk for developing diabetes. Greater than 200 mg/dL is a sign of diabetes mellitus.
Normal blood values for a 50-gram oral glucose tolerance test used to screen for gestational diabetes:
* 1 hour: equal to or less than 140 mg/dL
Normal blood values for a 100-gram oral glucose tolerance test used to screen for gestational diabetes:
* Fasting: less than 95 mg/dL
* 1 hour: less than 180 mg/dL
* 2 hour: less than 155 mg/dL
* 3 hour: less than 140 mg/dL
Note: mg/dL = milligrams per deciliter
Blood glucose monitoring refers to the ongoing measurement of blood sugar (glucose). Monitoring can be done at any time using a portable device called a glucometer.

You're poor diet is why you're so tired. Your body gets it's energy from the food that you eat. You need to eat at least three small healthy meals a day. You need to start off with a good breakfast. Like a bagel, fruit, and fat free yougert. Lunch: a sandwich on whole wheat bread, granola, and a parfet or cheese sticks.Dinner: You need a lean cut of meat and three vegetables. You get proteins from the meats. Aviod snacking on junk foods like candies, cookies, and chips. Drink plenty of water. Limit your cola intake. Exercise at least 20 minutes a day. Start out taking short brisk walks. Take a multi-vitamin that is appropriate for your age. See and doctor is this don't work. It may be something more serious.

In other cultures and other times, diabetes was quite literally diagnosed by tasting the urine, as excess blood sugars spill over into the urine. This is still true of Tibetan medicine. In TCM, or Traditional Chinese Medicine, diabetes can actually be diagnosed by a combination of taking the patient's pulses and medical history/symptoms. I have met iridologists who can and do diagnose from the patient's eyes. Diabetes in Western medicine can also be diagnosed with a Glucose Tolerance Test.

Plenty of fluids, rest as much as possible,aspirin for fever and some folks swear by large doses of vitamin c at least 1000 mg per day.
If you develop a cough, rub vicks generously on the soles of your feet and wear socks to bed.

It sounds like it could be a kidney infection - unfortunately it takes 48 hours to get results because the urine specimen has to be cultured to diagnose. Because of the nature of kidney infections, "flushing" it out with lots of water and meds like Azo or Pyridium have no effect.

If the symptoms are unbearable, I would call the clinic that is doing the labwork tonight to speak with the nurse or on-call doctor. By now, they should know if the urine specimen has tested positive for UTI and if the culture is indicating possible growth. If a UTI is present (which I believe there is), there are several antibiotics that treat both UTI and kidney infection - so, you'll kill two birds with one stone and be two days ahead of the kidney infection.

The reason I say I believe there is also a UTI is that it is highly unlikely that blood in the urine is a result of the kidneys, especially if it is red blood. By the time blood would pass from the kidneys to the toilet, it would most likely be brown unless there is serious damage to the kidneys - if it's bright red, then it's likely coming from a source closer to the bladder.

Another thing to consider is stones. You may want to ask that they use your urine specimen to check for stones or calcium - this could easily explain your recurring UTI's.

Good luck, and take care - I hope you're feeling better soon.

There is also the glucose tolerance test. The idea is that the patient would eat/drink carbohydrates. The blood sugar level would be tested prior to eating, an hour after eating and 2 hours after eating. A diabetic would have trouble maintaining a "normal" blood sugar level i.e. 80 - 120 mg/dl.
