If you're having that kind of pain you're over taxing your lower extremities! It sounds like you're cramping! Make sure you're wearing the correct foot gear when you're running!

Why are you running twice daily? Are you drinking enough fluids? Are you properly stretching and warming up?

It is impossible for you to lose muscle mass, as it is a tissue. That's like saying your arm'll fall off if you don't use it for a week. It is possible for it to shrink, that all depends on how long you don't use it for and depending on how much water within the muscle, or muscle layers, you lose will vary the amount of time it'll take to get it back.

Shoulder separation, often seen in athletes, is perhaps the most common injury of the shoulder. It is a stretching or tearing of the ligament that attaches the collarbone to one of the bones that forms the shoulder joint. It causes a slight deformity and extreme tenderness at the end of the collarbone. Sprains and strains of other ligaments occur, but complete tearing is unusual, as are fractures. Dislocations of the shoulder are rare outside of athletics but are best treated early when they do occur.
In summary, severe fractures and dislocations are best treated early. These usually cause deformity and severe pain and limit movement. Other fractures won't be harmed by delayed treatment if the injured limb is rested and protected. Complete tears of ligaments are rare; strains and sprains will heal with home treatment. May be your mom, should seek a second opinion.
I hope this helps you. And good luck.

No surface bruising - and no surface pain - most of your pain receptors are on the surface so deep damage is hard to work out.
You could have a deep bruise or a small muscle tear - these go away in time.
Any significant damage will have you in serious pain with percetible swelling.
Give it a day or so - then see a doctor.

right you could break the scaphoid by falling and landind on your hands. Or you could just hit the scaphoid area of your wrist really really hard (it works). Treatment for a scaphoid fracture or break is usually a few x-rays then a removable splint or cast for 4-6 weeks.
hope this helped good luck!

A torn ACL is a somewhat common knee injury. It is a very easy fix for an orthopedic surgeon. I had my left knee done a few years ago and I'd say it is 99% of what it was before the injury.

What it does, is clean out your insides, there will be as much as 20 lbs in there, and no degree of diet and exercise is likely to rid you of it. Give it a try out - I did, and lost 17 lbs LOL!!!

Sad to say that there isn't a whole lot you can do about this. The stomp probably broke some blood vessels underneath the toenail just like any other bruise. I get this a lot on my big toe so I know how painful and how annoying it is and it's lasted up to five months! The only thing to really do is ice the toe for now to make the pain go away, paint your toes over the discoloration and then wait for it to go away in time.

No matter what any of us say, whether we think you have P.A.D. or Sciatica, it doesn't matter. We're not doctors. So, I would suggest you go see a doctor tomorrow. You can go to a clinic, or urgent care without an appointment. I think there are a few nurses on Yahoo, but not sure how to get them to answer your question specifically. In the meantime you can use this link to check symptoms on WebMD http://symptoms.webmd.com/default.htm

Before you go for the surgery make sure to ask all this to your surgeon.

There is nothing wrong about any of your Q? As long as they are the things that may bother you. Again it will be one on one, if you can ask this on iternet when billion of people can see these Qs? then you should be able to get correct answers from your Dr. Based on those, you may want to even cancel postpone the surgery.

It is a kind of support they can show you some pictures of the device. It does limits certain movements but not all. It may not be used or use all the time!

If they do not have the pictures then volunteer yourself to be use to show this divice to future participants.

The tingling feeling you describe sounds like a trapped nerve. There's no home remedy for it, you need to see a physiotherapist or chiropractor, but applying either heat (cloth wrung out in hot water) or cold (pack of frozen peas wrapped in a cloth) to the area can give some short term relief.

Yes, you can definitely have soreness after throwing up.

Your rib muscles, as well as your stomach muscles, contract violently when you are throwing up. The rib pain is known as Costochondritis, which is basically a muscle strain in your rib muscles. It's more common on the left side, though I'm not sure why, and it can also occur after a lot of coughing.

It's nothing serious, but it is gonna hurt for a week or two. Just try to take it easy, and taking some ibuprofen will help with the pain and swelling.

Best thing to do is ask his PT about a home care program. It's hard to say what he should or should not be doing...as I don't know the type/severity of the fracture or the treatment thus far. However, most PT programs DO have a home care program, especially in the later sections of treatment. Do what the PT says, and NOTHING MORE!!

Hello, Rosie.

First of all, it's good that the scar is "pinking up." Bad news is, it won't be gone by Tuesday. Even if you use an expensive scar-reducing cream (such as Mederma), it can take WEEKS for it to fade. Your best bet at this point is to either wear long gym pants, or use a durable water-proof cover up. Wish I had some better news for you.

Best of luck!

In your case, the nerves were probably damaged by the burn, and nerves will feel like they are throbbing when they are damaged and trying to heal. If it was infected, you'd see some type of yellowish discharge (not clear, because burns will have clear ooze sometimes). Also it will feel very warm to the touch and sore, Sometimes red streaks around the wound. Burns are harder than a normal wound to tell if their infected because they are usually sore and a bit warm to the touch.

I am not a doctor or in the medical field. You should not need to see a dr. When you give blood they are "bursting" the vein with a needle to take blood. They are able to stop the bleeding in most cases by applying pressure (but not enough to cut off blood flow) to the area. A blue mark or greenish brown blue may still remain because it is just like a bruise.

So if you are worried about still bleeding then apply light pressure to the area for 5mins should stop it.

There is no such thing as an abrasion with minor bone damage. Abrasions happen when only the skin is damaged. Bullets shatter bones sending splinters everywhere. There is no perfect treatment, doctors can stitch up the holes and splint the bones but they can do absolutely nothing to speed up or even make an injury heal. There are way to many variables to determine healing rates which is why you cannot find a time line. A wound which one person heals from in a month will incapacitate another for life.

And yes there are people who shoot at other people for fun.
