You should have your moles, sunspots checked by a dermatologist once a yr. You are never too young to develop skin cancer or suspicious moles. When you are in the sun SPF 30 or higher is a must. Baking in the sun and the harmful effects isn't cool anymore. people age so fast from sun tanning and develop skin cancer or have to have moles removed. Your skin is trying to renew itself on it's own and when it reacts to damaging regs it has to fight extra hard until it says I can't help you. Resulting in wrinkles, sun spots moles and warts. No matter what age.

im 22 and over the last year ive had 7new small moles grow on my back. they start off white and go the normal brown colour after a few months. sometimes they itch but if my fiancee hadn't told me they were there i wouldn't know and they aren't ugly so they dont bother me.
is this something i should get looked at or is it normal to grow new moles as you get older
i used to be in the sun a lot when i was young age 2 - 18 and got sunburnt a few times (no more than any other child) and this year and last year i havent been in the sun at all. as we live in the UK we rarely have sun and when we do it always seems to be during working hours
i have NEVER used a sunbed
yeh my parents do have a lot of moles on their backs too. thanks your links are helpfulPosted 1 year ago # -
Well thankyou. I hope the mole is fine :) just check it incase
I read in the site sometimes the mole can be itchy.
Well it could be old spots too my parent got them as tehy get old they start to see white spots then later it foes a light brown colour. Anyway just check and you shold look at those pics too in those sites.
Oh okay well i'm no professional or anything but even though the sun is not out or it's behind the cloud the UV light still comes through even when there is no sun. Well I got some moles that is exactly on the same spot as my parent so it could be that. Does maybe your parents have moles in their back as well? This is what I found on another site. http://www.merck.com/mmhe/sec18/ch216/ch216d.html
Warning Signs of Melanoma
Enlarging pigmented (especially black or deep blue) spot or mole
Changes in color of an existing mole, especially the spread of red, white, brown, or blue pigmentation to surrounding skin
Changes in characteristics of skin over the pigmented spot, such as changes in size or shape
Bleeding or breaking open (ulceration) of an existing moleOkay I think you should get it checked just incase. Have you been in the sun a lot? Have you been wearing any sunscreen? It could be a maligment melanoma the dangerous skin cancer. Just check anway better be safe the sorry. You check this site I think it may help
Hope all is well :)
