Im sure they know what they are doing ...
they probably stretched the 2 ends of the place where they cut the vein from and sowed them together ...or something that will go normal again soon.

They are doctors common ! ...

i had heart surgery and i have a giant metal plate in my heart but i'm fine ! ... it sounds ridiculous but they know more than we do so just trust !

:) Hope all goes well !

Hey! Don't panic, you have lots of veins in your legs and the one they would have taken wouldn't have been the major ones that run quite deep. It would have been a superficial or small vein (as the coronary vessels of the heart are not overly large). The large veins are still there and they are large enough to cope with the loss of one small vein easily. Sometimes these small vessels can grow back, although that happens quite slowly and it depends on the tissues need for oxygen. Rest assured, she'll be walking just fine.
