After I take a pill, will I stop being contagious of Strep Throat?

    I have strep throat and I just tried calling into my job sick [Walgreen's] and they said "It's fine. You can come to work - once you take the pill, you won't be contagious."

    Is this true?! I get my pills at 3:00 and go to work at 4:00. Will I still be contagious an hour after I take the pills or not?

    No, it take 24 hrs for anti-biotics to kick in. They legally cannot make you come in to work and shouldn't. You will still be contagious.
