Allergies and Nasal Congestion?

(3 posts)
  1. I have had bad allergies as a kid, and this year is the worst year ever. I currently live in Virginia and we had that nasty pollen explosion, and I'm still trying to get over it. I've taken Xertec, Claritin, and Benadryl, but none of it is working. I sneeze all day, I have headaches here and there because of my nasal congestion, I've sounded like Ray Ramano for the last three weeks, I can't sleep well, I can't eat very well because I can't breath out of my nose, and I've had the nastiest drainage here and there as well. Any medicine that might help me? I'm afraid my body is becoming immune to the medicine now.

  2. I went to the doctor for my recent allergy problems. He gave me several medications to take and I suggest you get the right medicines from him as opposed to stuff people suggest on yahoo.

Mine are time release and things I take after eating and before bedtime. (there are 3 of them)

It probably is in your best interest.

    Good luck with it. (smiling)

i used to have terrible allergies too. but thankfully i found a solution. i am now using a betti neti pot. its a very simple process with NO side effects besides breathing clearly haha. medications just cover up the problem, they dont fix it. its like brushing your teeth versus eating a breath mint. covers the bad breath but doesnt kill the problem
i dont use plastic ones though because the chemicals in the plastic eventually break down and cause more problems. go with ceramic made netis. i have a betti pot and it works wonders. feel better!
