Am I really sick?Why wont they listen?

    I've had a cough for about 2 weeks, I have asthma and allergies but I don't believe that that is the cause.My chest doesn't hurt and I don't feel sick or tired I just have a cough.I get sick pretty often not that much but i miss at least a week to a week and a half of school a year due to sickness.I go to the doctor only when I really don't feel well but the doctors say the same thing every single time."Oh it's your allergies...take your medicine"And one time I've even been to the doctor 3x in one week and they gave me a new medicine that cleared my airways.It worked but sometimes I just feel like the doctors aren't doing enough.

    I had a runny nose for like a month a few weeks back, getting more sleep then usual help you recover faster

    Have you gone to another doctor maybe you need a second opinion.

    Have they given you a chest X-Ray? I'd ask for one,,
    Also, do you have Post Nasal Drip? that can account for a cough.
    Allergies can cause the cough as well, there are tests for allergies by an allergist.
