Hey, I have braces right now and I had too many teeth. I don't think you will have to have any bands, but if you do you only have to have them on for like 20 or 30 minutes a day. My mouth was sore when I first got them and I thought it would always be sore like that. But I was wrong, the soreness went away after like 2 days. The best thing to do is eat soft foods like, mashed potato's, yogurt, ice cream, ect. Take Ibuprofen, rinse with salt water too, the salt water helps sooth the soreness and helps them heal faster :) Hope this helps!

This is very normal to have a lot of pain when you push on them. They are readjusting your whole mouth, so expect pressure and pain every time you get them tightened by the dentist. It doesn't matter what your friends say, it's up to the dentist. Whenever they feel that you need the rubberbands, they will give them to you. I know people who didn't get the rubberbands until the last month of them having their braces on. Just be patient and don't worry :)

    1) consult your orthodontist for your sore teeth..
    2) Few patient require elastics and few don't.

    1) Pain is normal for braces. Take pain releivers.

    2) I needed braces because I had an overbite too. I had my braces for a year and never needed those rubber bands. My friends have had them and they got them a few months before they got there braces off.
