Are computer glasses the same as regular glasses?

I have Computer Vision Syndrome. I haven't been officially diagnosed with it, but since I spend long hours on the computer, and all of my symptoms fit it, I'm pretty sure I have it.

Anyway, when I get my eyes checked, if I get anti-glare glasses, are they the same as regular glasses? I guess what I mean is do they look like regular glasses? Do you get to choose them or does the optician choose them for you (like the frame and stuff)

I've never needed glasses so that's why I have all these questions.

    Not really.

The strength of the lenses and the PD is adjusted for middle range. In addition they have AR+EMI coating and might have a slightly Yellow-Gold coating.

If you need plano lenses (with no correction) then the glasses would be like regular AR+EMI and coating, without power and PD adjusting.

Yes, they look just like regular glasses. You can choose whether or not you want anti-reflective or not.
