ayurveda...it's very ancient and world renowned. it relies heavily on certain plants and there is a huge market for it. people buy ayurvedic medicines because it works.

Both rely a lot on natural herbs and many have found them equally effective as preventatives for certain disorders and ailments.

That both have been existing since time immemorial and are still relied upon today for preventing ailments is a testament to their effectiveness.

You can find a list of teas used in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurvedic medicine here:

I prefer neither. They are both of little if any value, dispensed by untrained people who pretend to be doctors. If you're already taking proper medicine from a qualified doctor, then they can easily interfere with your regular medication.

Herbs used in these healing arts are technically plants. They work well for healing hundreds of health issues. BUT when they are harvested and processed and packaged by unscrupulous companies then they pose a danger. Chinese herbs are a crap-shoot. They are almost always laced with toxic metals, other poisons and pharmaceuticals. If the herbs of either culture were "clean" then they would cure much illness.

Both are plant-based and can be effective to a certain degree, but they cannot cure everything.
For instance, they still cannot cure cancers and Aids / HIV despite all the hype.
