    There are many possibilities ranging from as benign as hemorrhoids to as malignant as cancer, and there are plenty of things in between (diverticulosis, abnormal blood vessels, inflammatory bowel disease such as Crohn's or ulcerative colitis etc).

    Much more info is needed, including your age and family history, so I'd suggest to talk to your doctor so that he/she can ask you all the right questions in order to figure out what it is, as there are numerous possibilities.
