Can an after hours doctor prescribe narcotic medication?

    I have been diagnosed with epididymitis and have gone through numerous different antibiotics etc and none have treated the condition. I am currently on 10mg of oxycodone and run out every thursday therefore needing to see my usual GP every week however he is away and none of the doctors are free from the clinic. So if I have proof of my condition and regular medication is an after hours GP able to prescribe me my regular dose of oxycodone till my regular doctor comes back? Thanks

    yeah you should be able to still get your meds, but I do believe it is illegal so therefore you will be taking a chance on getting cut off of your meds. Best of luck

    As long as medically you need the pain meds the after hours doctor can prescribe anything a normal doctor can. So he should be able to.
