Possibly. High blood pressure could burst some of the delicate blood vessels in the nose.

Nose bleeds are medically referred to as Epistaxis.

    1) The relationship between hypertension(high blood pressure) and epistaxis is often misunderstood. Patients with epistaxis commonly present with an elevated blood pressure. Epistaxis is more common in hypertensive patients perhaps owing to vascular fragility from long-standing disease. Hypertension, however, is rarely a direct cause of epistaxis. More commonly, epistaxis and the associated anxiety cause an acute elevation of blood pressure. Treatment, therefore, should be focused on controlling hemorrhage and reducing anxiety as primary means of blood pressure reduction.

The association between epistaxis and hypertension is still disputed. (result of a scientific study)

Debate about blood pressure and epistaxis will continue......http://www.bmj.com/cgi/content/extract/322/7295/1181

Verdict: High blood pressure per se does not cause nose bleeding.
