I get really upset when I have to go the a doctors office. Even the dentist. I know I have "white coast syndrome" how can I get out of having my blood pressure checked at the office. Can I refuse? I have a wrist meter that I bought years ago that I use to check my pressure. When a new nurse that doesn't know me takes my pressure she says it is very high they doctor will talk to me about it. I tell her he knows about it and I know about it I tell her every heard about "white coat syndrome" I say no I don't need medication. I already went down the route and the medication I tried lower my pressure way low and I was fainting. So guess what I don't have high blood pressure? Why are these doctors always pushing pills on people?

Its your body stop trying to be nice and tell them they are not allowed to take your blood pressure without the equipment of your choosing, ie your wrist monitor. I have a special condition and you are not allowed to take my blood pressure and any attempts to due so will result in me pressing assault charges. Don't be nice you don't have to.
