Yesterday I broke my right leg, and 2 hours later the doctor has putted it in plaster, and told me to came 4 weeks later to get the plaster off. Now, the summer is coming, and I really love go cycling. My father told me that it's possible to not be allowed to ride my bike all the summer, and I really don't want it. The doctor said that's nothing to worry about my leg, told that my broken ankle is not too bad.
So my question is:
After getting the plaster off, will I be able to ride my bike again?
*NOTE:
I didn't broke my leg with my bike. A guy has pushed me along the stairs and I landed with my leg in kinda askew position, and the ankle has broken...

You will be able to ride without any problems. Cycling will actually help to make the ankle stronger so it will be encouraged by the orthopedist. You may or may not need physical therapy but you will not know that until the cast comes off. Have a great summer and remember to keep the rubber side down!

I do not see any problem with riding a bike after the cast is off. However, you should take it slow to start with. Your ankle will be sore and it will be weak since you will not have used the ankle for a long time. It will take time to build up strength in your ankle.

im pretty sure that your dr knows more than your dad when it comes to when you can start riding your bike again...if your dad doesnt want to listen to a DR and thinks he knows better when it comes to your health thats his own issue
