Can i smoke 48 hours after getting a tooth pulled?

    No, you can get what is called a dry socket that is very painful. Also avoid straws.

    I smoked about one hour after getting a tooth pulled.lol I just was careful about not dragging on the cigarette too hard. It was o.k. Nothing happened.

    I am a dentist. After 48 hours your clot has probably solidified enough to smoke. However if you had a lower back tooth pulled the chances of having complications decreases the longer you can refrain from smoking.

    You shouldn't be smoking in the first place. It's bad for your health, and the health of others. It's probably the reason you have tooth problems, anyway.
