Can I stop wearing my (wrist) brace yet?

I broke my wrist late June last summer...i think it was like June 26th or something. I broke my scaphoid all the way through, but nothing shifted even slightly so it healed really quickly. i got my cast off in 4-5 weeks. well after i broke it, he told me to continue wearing my brace when i ride (horses), because even though it was healed it was still weak. another fall could permanently damage my wrist. When we called him to see how long i had to wear it, i can't remember if he said 6 months or longer. it's been nearly 7 months now. i've gotten through the worst of it (i couldn't wear gloves with my brace, so riding was REALLY cold), but it's still a pain. it gets in the way. there's a dull pain when i squeeze the area that broke, but i can put all of my weight on it and it doesn't hurt.

do you think i should continue wearing it? how much longer?

my mom "thinks i'm done" so she won't call the doctor. i don't have the number.

Weird that you mom won't at least give you the number.

I wouldn't wear it if you really don't want to unless your doing any high risk riding, like jumping, something speedy, or riding a green horse.

If you feel comfortable with it off, then go ahead.
