Since last night one of my eyes is really hurting me. It feels like something is stuck in the upper lid. But I tried everything, washing it, tea bags, and eye drops! Nothing has helped. I can't go to the doctor today, so I'm going tomorrow. But the problem is, 2day i have this really big event and I need to wear my contacts! I never go out with glasses! I'm just not used to them! I wear daily J&J lenses. So they're definitely clean. Please tell me I can wear them today! I'll only wear them for a few hours!

You could have a small bump or stye on your eye. Try your contacts for about 30 minutes, if your eye is still painful, you will have to wear your glasses.

I'm sorry, but probably not. You could have a sty or even an ulcer in your eye! Those are painful, I tell you what. If you wear your contacts, it will just get worse. Wait a day or two.

But, since it's just a few hours, I guess you'll be okay. Take them off when you get home or if they start irritating you again. Bring your glasses with you just in case.

Ask your eye doctor what you can do (duh) and make sure to tell him what kind of pain it is-- itching, literal pain, swelling, redness, etc.
