can you catch an STD from breastmilk?

    Yes, this is why women who are donating milk for sick or premature infants are checked for HIV.

    Herpes can all so if the women gets an outbreak there. Im 6mo prego and have herpes. I asked the Dc if I can breast feed she said yes I can. Im on meds for it and havent had any kind of out break for a year.

    yes . you can catch an std through semen , vaginal fluids , blood , and breast milk .

    Harson, Though not everyone might agree that breastmilk is "sexually transmitted," be aware that the HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) that leads to AIDS is highly infectious to a newborn child who breastfeeds milk from a mother who is HIV positive from this STD. This is very common in Uganda and South Africa where substitute "milk cow type" (lactating HIV negative) other mothers are used to breast feed HIV-negative newborns of HIV-positive mothers.

    Yes. virus like hiv can be there

    Depends on the std. If it's some thing that can be passed through body fluids then possibly.
