can you get sick from sniffing bleach and ammonia fumes?

    OMG.. mixing ammonia and bleach can be deadly! It releases chlorine gas.. You are lucky to be alive and that is no joke. Ammonia fumes themselves can be harmful, and bleach as well although less so. But never mix ammonia and bleach together. Many a housewife has been found dead on the floor from exactly that mixture. You are really lucky is all i can say.

    PS I included a link showing the various toxic gases released when you mix bleach and ammonia.

    You are lucky to be alive! Mixing ammonia and bleach is deadly! Never, EVER do it again. Your headache is from the toxic chemicals and the burning feeling you are experiencing is chemical burns along the tissues of your nose and throat. This will heal, but will take time. You don't need to see a physician since too muich time has passed and you are still okay, but don't do it again!!
