Can You Sleep in Soft Contacts?

    I tried it once and woke up about 3am with my eyes on fire. It was incredibly difficult to get the contacts out. Never again.

    You can if they specify that they are overnight lenses, otherwise, take them out every night. Contacts develop bacteria which is harmful to your eyes. The disgusting analogy that my eye doctor made was that it's just like leaving in a tampon after your period is over.

    Only the ones made to be slept in. And even if you have the extended wear that you can sleep in, YOU might not be able to sleep in them. Everyone will be different as to what their eyes will tolerate.
