Don't now what meds you have tried since you did not provide them. Have you tried trazodone, seroquel, ambien, lunesta, sonata. These have seemed to help me or a couple of others I know.

Ask your doctor about them. Hope this helps

I know this may sound bad but here me out. Here in California you can get a med card for medicinal marijuana. And I have bad insomnia too and found that marijuana is a very helpful NATURAL way to help. That and working out every morning but I prefer just weed.

    Please see a doctor.
some tips: Don't think about anything when you go to sleep. Just relax and sleep.
    Take deep breath also.

Maybe your melatonin is not what it should be. You can buy melatonin at drug stores or Wal Mart. Try it for awhile..maybe it will build up your melatonin.
Remember Michael Jackson had a bad case of insomnia.
I'm up right now because I took trazadone which usually makes me sleep..but for some reason I coulnt' sleep tonight.
I know what you mean about waking up off and on. Have you been through trauma? You might have P.T.S. D. You really need to get this fixed before it drags you down too far. Hope you're not getting caffeine at night. Check and see what you're eating or drinking at night..if it has caffeine in it. Also Calcium pills sometimes help.
