Ok I am a little embarassed about this so it makes it hard. Since I was little I have had warts on my hands, 1-5 at a time, little ones, big ones, and planters. But I havent had them for about 4 years. But 9 days ago I discovered this little one on my left hand. I have been using the salicylic acid since but its not working. I now have over 70 warts on my hands. The skin on my hands is dry, full of warts, peeling, and now discolored from the acid. I dont know what to do, my hands are covered in warts and I am extremly embarassed about it. Some how they spread within 8 days all over my hands, I have been using the acid twice a day and washing my hands and using hand sanitizer all the time.

I guess what I am asking is:
Since mine are spreading so fast would I be able to go to the doctors and get a note to be out of work till it semi shapes up. Because this is embarassing, and I work direct with the public. I work in an airport, dealing with the elderly and disabled hands on. Please let me know guys. And if you have any answers reguarding how to stop the spreading id appreciate it. Thanks.

No because you can wear gloves. They make several kinds of opaque (solid color can't see through) medical gloves you can get at the drug store. It would be a good idea if you are working with the public anyway. But warts spreading that fast points to some big problem anyway, see the Dr., but there is no reason to stay out of work.

absolutley, my doctor told me if i didnt want to i could stay home cause i had 31 warts on my hands (mostly my right hand) and it was painful trying to use it. Whenever they scrape up against anything it hurt horribly so i stayed home until I was able to walk around without being 1. embarressed and 2. could function normally.

Secondly, the acid never worked for me. I would go to the doctor and have him freeze them off, or you could buy the doctor scholls freeze off stuff that worked for me, but i went through 2 boxes on my warts, which means you will need like 4 or 5 for your 70 warts, which it would probably be cheaper to go to your doctor and have them removed with some kind of prescription.

Overall, yes i would not go to work. If your boss says he/she doesnt think warts is a good reason, send him a picture of your 70+ warts and he/she might change their mind.

    Hope this helps!

Have you checked with your doctor about these warts. That sounds awfully fast for them to spread to that many. It could possibly be something more. And since you work with the public I think it would be a very good idea to get to your doctor and have him check these warts out and take you off work until you've been treated. Good luck.
