could i have herpes i am so scared?

    yeah this girl has herpes and we were hanging out. i am scared i have herpes.

    i got some popcorn and she wanted some and she took her gum out from her mouth and took popcorn and ate it. now im not that stupid enough to eat from it so i think im still okay. but then after we got outside she took her hands and put it around my mouth and said gothca because she was sayin teachin me how to assassinated someone and now i am very scared

    she got spit on her hands and she put it against my mouth, we didnt do anything so now could i have herpes? i am scared i dont want herpes

    First of all, simplex virus one is not an STD and its no big deal. Occasionally you get a cold sore that lasts for 4-5 days. the only way you can get it from her is if she has a cold sore and kisses you when you have an open cut on your lip. Youre fine.

    Not likely. If she had a breakout and you kissed her then definitely, you would get infected.

    Oral herpes is not spread through saliva so you should be OK.
    You would be more likely to get oral herpes if she kissed you while she has a cold sore.
    50-80 percent of the population has cold sores, most of the time they are passed on innocently during child hood by being kissed by some one that has cold sores. The same could have happened to you when you were a child.
    HSV1 + (oral hepres) and HSV2 + (genital herpes).
