On New Years eve i jammed my knuckle in a boxing match. The following week it was swollen and i accepted this as the normal process of things. The swelling went down after a week or so and the throbbing pain stopped yet the pain still exists when applying pressure to the knuckle (i.e punching). Almost three months later, the pain from pressure is still there. I really do not think this is normal and wonder if i shouldn't have tried to wait this one out. Is it too late for my knuckle to ever be painless?
It was street boxing, bare knuckles.

Yea It'll heal. whenever I injure my hands I end up worrying and start to think that they will never heal, but they'll end up healing on their own. and about that boxing match... Was it a streetboxing match or in a boxing gym?

Can you move your fingers? Can you lift things and grip things normally? Do you have normal use of your hand? If the answer to all of these questions is yes, then you PROBABLY didn't break anything. That being said, there are also ligaments, tendons, etc in your hand. If you are still having pain three months later, this is not normal. I would make an appointment with your family doctor or an orthopod and get it checked. Hand injuries can cause early arthritis and be very debilitating, especially if left untreated.
