do braces hurt??!?!?!?!?

    i have to get a full mouth and i am kinda nervous! my teeth r not super messed up but kinda!

    I have braces and the combination of having both the top and the bottom on at once makes them hurt. Mostly they are sensitive and it is hard to eat so just eat things like soup or mashed potatoes the first couple days after getting them on but after those first few days you get used to it and after a while you forget you have them. Also you may have bracket problems and wire problems but nothing a little wax can't fix!

    yeah there's a lot of soreness and tenderness at the beginning, but then its okay and usually doesnt hurt at all-unless they start cutting up your mouth.... when you get new bands on, the soreness comes back for a few days. they just suck.

    It only hurts for the first few days once you get them on but they give you wax that helps reduce it

    Nope. I've had braces for almost three years now. The only thing that ever really bothered me, was the tightening. With the little rubber 'power chains' & stuff. It's really not as bad as it sounds, though. Haa.
