For about the last 2 weeks I have had a cough. I cough a lot, about every couple of hours I have a coughing fit. For the first week I coughed up a lot of mucus and now I cough up a little bit. It started of like a normal cough, but now the cough is coming from more of my chest and sounds very wheezy. It is also sounds more dry than normal coughs. I have not had a fever, so i have not gone to see a doctor yet. I have been taking Delsym cough medicine, and it does suppress my cough for 12 hours, but does not make it go away. Now I worry i have something more serious. I know that these answers are not from professionals, but I just want to see if I should go to the doctor tomorrow or wait another week. If I do not go to the doctor tomorrow and the cough continues I will visit a doctor next weekend. Thanks for all your help!

Do I have bronchitis or is it just a cough?

No matter how much u take a cough suppressant, it wont take you cough away. It seems like you've been waiting too long.
