Do white fillings require smaller holes to be drilled?

White fillings can be done on any of the teeth. If the fillings are too large and your dentist is worried about fracture you'd probably need a crown to correct that problem. The only problem I've had with white fillings is one of them began to pull away and created a small hole. It was corrected with a little more composite material. I've never had an amalgam filling. Many dentists ( here anyway) are pushing composite because amalgam can contain mercury

White fillings do not require smaller holes. The holes are caused by the removal of rotten enamel etc.
And they can be put in molars, just tell your dentist your preference.Posted 1 year ago #
