I went to a dentist and he said I needed braces because my bottom molar teeth are growing out past the top ones so the top ones are like, inside my bottom ones but other than that I have almost perfectly straight teeth, he recommended an orthodontist but my dad looked at my teeth and said I probably just need a retainer or something and that this dentist probably just wants more money...Normally I'd agree with him, except that it feels a little uncomfortable when I bite down, almost as if my teeth are grinding together and my dentist said that this could cause serious problems for me to chew when I'm older. I'm getting a second opinion but I REALLY want braces to have straight teeth and stop the grinding issue. Does anybody think that the next dentist I go to will tell me I need braces? Thanks :)

you might just need a retainer to push it back in place or if you get braces you might get a tooth pulled out.

i think u should go see an other dentist this dude is just trying to get money out of you maybe just get a retainer hope this helps =)

well I can tell u braces are your best bet. With a overbite if it goes untreated it could lead to periodontal disease or TMJ. Catch it early before problems health problems set in. good luck

Nah, your teeth look just like mine do, and my dentist said I didn't need braces if I didn't want to get them.

no!! ur teeth r well aligned, the mild crowding in your front teeth is minimal it's not worth the trouble of braces. you have to accept them the way they are, plus front teeth of lower jaw are usually covered by the lower lip during speech, & tend to relapse in many cases of treatment,

There is one crooked tooth that is visible... maybe actually go see a real dentist to find out if you need it or not. Do your parents want you to have it?
