do your pubes fall off when you have cancer?

    my friend and I were watching "my sister's keeper" and we noticed that she didn't have eyebrows.
    do do the pubes fall off as well?

    All body hair on every part of the body including pubic hair is lost when a patient undergoes treatment for cancer if it is the type of chemotherapy that causes hair loss. There are different types of chemo and some cause hair loss and some don't. The reason a patient loses their hair is because the drugs target fast growing cells . . the hair cells grow fast and cancer cells grow fast . . the drugs cannot tell the difference between the good hair cells and the bad cancer cells and kills all growing cells. Hair loss is the result. However, once treatment is stopped the hair cells recover and all hair will regrow.

    Cancer is a devastating disease especially when it strikes teenagers . . because it affects their body image, interrupts them socially, creates dependency when all they want is independence, and robs them of an education, friendships, dating, and could cost them their life. Losing all their hair is just another small humiliation along the way . . but so many other invasive procedures take place that hair loss is the least of their worries.

    Weird question, but it still deserves to be answered.
    When a person loses ALL their hair due to chemotherapy treatment, they lose ALL their hair.

    Hair loss is generally caused by some types of chemotherapy, not the cacner itself.

    Different people loose different hair in different quantities.

    I lost all virtually all hair, except for retaining just enough on arms to make me go ouch when tape from IV was removed!

    The hair I missed most was the ear hair, nose hair and eyelashes.

    I was bald over an Australian summer and flies & other bugs could fly straight in with no hair to stop them and dust was a real issue for my eyes.
