My Doctor prescribed it for during the day.
But sometimes when I can't sleep all night and take Ritalin in the early morning I fall asleep for a few hours and have a good 4 hour sleep.
(Right now I'm unemployed so I can sleep during the day if I have to.)
If I don't take Ritalin I can't fall asleep even in the morning I just doze off during the day for brief periods.

i think the reason why most people (babies or adults) suffer from sleep apnea is because the grove at the back of the tongue will be constricted, hene there are lapses in breathing.

In some cases, the sufferer may snore a lot, or go for several seconds or a few minutes without breathing.

when the brain then realises this, that's when the person gets up hastily, coughing or gasping for breath. With or without the drug ritalin, it's wise to try a head elevating position when sleeping, to allow smooth passage of air.
