energy drinks and diabetes?

    what would a energy drink do to a person that have diabetes.

    depends on the type of diabetes.

    But honestly I wouldn't recommend finding out.

    Greatly elevate their blood glucose levels and then, they would have to take additional insulin or their blood glucose levels would be running way too high and their family doctor would have to be notified and give them advice on ways to bring their glucose levels back down.

  4. Energy drinks with sugar will raise the blood sugar of a diabetic, possibly to dangerous levels. There are lots of sugar-free energy drinks on the market, though. As far as these sugar-free drinks are concerned, I'd tell a diabetic what I'd tell everyone else - enjoy, but consume caffeine in moderation just like you would consume anything else.

    NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!!!

    "Energy drinks" are just sugar water with some vitamins and caffeine. VERY VERY BAD for a diabetic. They will raise your blood sugar right through the roof!

    Energy drinks are bad for everyone not just diabetes. Water is a better drink
