My family and I want to go on a cruise this summer. We aren't sure if it would be a good idea though. My mom has a deadly iodine and shellfish allergy. It's gotten so bad that she can't even swim in the ocean anymore without getting a few hives. Would she be alright if we went on a cruise or would the air and the frequent mist from the water upset her allergies?

Yahoo answers is probably not the place to ask life and death questions. She needs to have a thorough discussion with her doctor about the wisdom of going on a cruise. One option might be to do a cruise on the Great Lakes if there is such a thing or a river cruise on the Mississippi or in Europe. That way salt water is avoided.
