*this is not me (I'm almost 16) - this is my cousin (who's 19) asking the question!*
I'm 19 and a sophomore in college and my boyfriend is 20 and a junior at the same college. I've never been to the gynecologist before but I have an appointment scheduled for next week. I would love if my boyfriend would come with me because I'm very nervous in medical settings and I think I would do better if he was able to stay with me though everything. We have had sex and I was a virgin when I met him, so he was my first, but I was not his first. So I'm thinking its a good idea to go to the gyno for the first time since I am now sexually active, though we have used protection every time.
I think he would be willing to come with me because we're comfortable with each other but I'm wondering if I should ask. Honestly, guys, if you were in Pete's shoes would you come with me? How can I ask him to go? Have you guys gone with your girlfriend/wife before simply for reassurance and so she could hold your hand if she's scared?
