You should see an endocrinologist, not your GP. Your GP is for other things.

48 and 35 is dangerously low.

  2. Some other people on here say that a 48 and 35 mg/dl is normal glucose sugar levels. But I read on the internet that those are low glucose leves, so who am I supposed to believe. And I can't go to my doctor, b/c she said that my glucose blood level was normal. So are those levels normal or what?
Thank you Cammie, and other dude who answered, but not Jessica. FYI to you, Jessica, doctor's aren't always right. They've been really, really wrong in some cases, so it's always good to do some research. And in this case, I think the doctor is wrong.

If you don't believe your doctor, why in the world would you ask a bunch of unqualified anonymous people on the internet? There are a lot of people who are very willing to answer any health questions you post...and they have absolutely no training, and they have their very own pet theories, which are completely and utterly wrong.

If you don't want to go to your doctor about this, go to another doctor. If you really are diabetic, or something else is wrong with you, then you will have to have some lab work done, which can't be done online!

There are a number of diabetic warning signs. Unless you have a lot of them, there's no reason to check your blood sugar with a home test kit. Even so, home test kits are sometimes miscalibrated, and professional medical labs can do a much more accurate job, and can run many more tests than the little home kits can.

Those levels are low, so in this case at least, the internet is right and your doctor is wrong, if she actually said that. 70 to 120 is normal.

Take a sugary snack when your level goes that low and reduce insulin and/or eat a bit more to prevent that happening in the future.
