For a basic overview, here's the National Heart and Lung and Blood site:

    http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/dci/Diseases/hhw/hhw_pumping.html

Try the video on the top and links at the left.

FYI, the heart is only the size of a fist, yet it does an amazing job of supplying blood to every part of the body!

The American Heart Association (AHA) has a site with lots of info too:

    http://www.americanheart.org/presenter.jhtml?identifier=1200000

(Use the various links on the left side.)

    I hope that helps!
