Even with signed consent this would amount to assisted suicide and/or homicide. No surgeon, no anesthesiologist or nurse anesthetist, no OR nurse and no surg tech is going to throw away her/his license to fulfill what, in the eyes of the law, amounts to a crazy death wish. Using reasonable & prudent judgment, to give up one's life in an otherwise healthy individual in order to donate an organ is not what a reasonable & prudent (or sane) person would do.

heart donation... whilst still alive!?

Crazy question... If a person wants to donate their heart to a sick person, whilst alive, therefore ending the donors life... even though the donor gives consent.. 1 .. is it possible. 2. has any surgeon agreed to perform?

I don't think that it would be legal for the surgeon to perform such a surgery.. If the donor is qualified to give consent, as in not in a irreversible coma (having given consent at an earlier stage), there is simply no way they could kill a (presumed) healthy individual to donate his or her organs.

I don't think that, that kind of surgery would be legal, seeing as how you would have to kill another human being in order to save another.

not heard about it but there is a possibility because so many things like this has happened in history of medicine. it is strictly against medical ethics unless the brain death of donor is inevitable.

first off, "doc" is not a doc. To answer the question.... No surgeon would kill someone to save someone else.. that would be inflicting harm. Ethically and lawfully it wouldnt happen. if it did even if the person gave consent it is still killing someone.
