I have such a problem with sleeping. It is so hard for me. The average amount of sleep I get each night is about 3 hours. Sometimes I get really tired. Other times Im not tired. I just don't want to go on sleeping medication. It seems so bad for you and they say you can get addicted to it!

    can you function on it?
they say that just laying there being calm actually
lets you get some of the rest you need.

but try taking a hot shower befor bed and using like
a lavender body wash, try some soothing music to
    fall asleep to.

Soak poppy seeds (khas khas) in water and keep it overnight. Grind it to extract the thick milk. Similarly extract milk from a grated coconut. Mix equal quantities of both the milks and have it before going to bed. But those who are trying to lose weight should avoid this as this liquid is very high in calories.
Mix 2 tsp of honey with 2 tsp of lemon or lime juice and have it before going to bed.

Try doing yoga an hour before your planned bed time. It unwinds you and help you relax so by the time you're ready for bed, your body is relieved of many tensions, knots and you are at ease.

try drinking some warm milk, reading a super thick and boring book, listening to some soft and soothing music, or (provided you're not allergic to it) put a few drops of lavender oil on your pillow. good luck and sweet dreams
