My girlfriend went to the ER today and she got signed in.
They did blood test and everything.

Thats not my question though, when she was signing her release papers, the nurse that gave her the billing information got mad because we didnt have any money to pay the bill, they have a payment plan and i know this because ive been there before, anyways, when we told the nurse we didnt have the money to pay she got and said that if we didn't have any money than we shouldn't be wasting their time because they have other people waiting.?

Can she legally tells us that? Can she say that if we dont have any money than we shouldn't go to the emergency room?

She should be reported to the hospital administrator.

She cannot say that. You should report her. They have payment plans and they even have services that help you pay. I've never even been asked to pay while there. I always just get sent a bill and on it will be information about how to get help paying. They cannot turn someone away from help for any reason. Report her.

I don't know about your state laws, but her that is not allowed. She cannot legally say that. In fact, my cousin once got cut and we needed to call an ambulance to take us to the er room, which of course is not free, anyway, they needed to test if it was infected, you know to check for like disease. They didn't ask us for the payment, they just sent a bill to the house, and she told them she couldn't pay at that time, so they just let it go.

Sorry i wrote so much, I just like to be specific, even if it does not help.
