herpes (vaginal, anal)?

    Can i get anal herpes from vaginal sex. Or do i have to have anal sex to get anal herpes?

    The herpes virus is in the same category as facial cold sores - they can pop up anywhere around your mouth and eyes.
    Therefore yes, genital herpes can pop up in places other than the vagina - it's actualy quite common to get anal warts and anal herpes, I even had a friend who got thrush on their bum once!
    Go to your doctor if you're worried, you'll have them forever and the sooner herpes is treated the better.

    Yes you can get herpes from vaginal or anal sex. Herpes can affect all areas of the genitals.
    You're more likely to get herpes if the person your having sex with had signs of an out break, but there is a small chance of this happening while there are no signs of an out break.
    If you think you could have herpes, you should get tested by your doctor and get treatment for it. The virus is permanent but the out breaks do go away.
