How can I convince my parents to get me glasses?

I'm with mom.

But - go to drugstore & try on those reading glasses. They are low strength & may be right for you. They come in tons of cool styles.

glasses are really expensive you know if you really don't need glasses don't force them to take you .

if your eyes cant see 100% they strain, straining leads to further eye damage. might as well get them now and keep your eyes in good of shape as possible!

Here is a way to solve this without "throwing a lot of money at the problem":

If they didn't already give it to you, get a copy of your prescription and order some inexpensive glasses on line at www.zennioptical.com, or some other inexpensive site. You should be able to get a decent looking set of glasses there for like only $20-30. They are not the expensive, designer frames, but they have a lot of styles that look very similar to the more popular designer ones. Surely you parents can scrape together a modest sum like that. If they are absolutely destitute, maybe you could earn part of the money?

Don't wear reading glasses, more than likely they will make your distance vision blurry (won't cause permant eye damage or anything like that, but sort of inconvenient)
