You have to fit certain criteria. These are three of them:
1. You must need help with a skill that a nurse is qualified to perform, such as a sterile dressing change or an IV treatment.
2. The doctor must write you a prescription for the home care by a nurse.
3. You must be "homebound"-- not able to get out of your house easily for routine tasks.
There are probably other rules, so my suggestion is to contact a home health care agency in your area or talk to your doctor to see if he/she thinks the care is necessary.
