If it makes you feel a little better, almost everyone I know faces this same problem from time to time. Even I end up buying food, and all those small purchases really do add up. Many people I know spend money on food regularly. Maybe you should consider looking for a job? You can get hundreds of dollars saved up in a short period of time. If you are too young to get a job, maybe you can walk dogs around the neighborhood or do pet sitting for families who are on vacation. I did that one summer when I was 14 or 15, and i remember making a lot of money, and it was an easy job. But honestly, don't sweat the 80 dollars. It's a mistake everyone makes, and all you can do is learn from it. I hope that helped, feel better.

How can I get over the fact that I spent money on food rather than clothes?

Sometimes people want stuff they want but they also need stuff to keep them fit and healthy or a roof to live under. If you really want clothes, you should work more and don't worry about the fact that your buying food, people have to eventually do it, it's part of life/.
