The easiest way to get diabetes is by eating too much sugar.

Yes you can, if you deliberately damage your pancreas by taking certain medications, intentionally consuming certain pesticides or herbicides, some chemicals, and self inflicted abdominal wounds that injure the pancreas.
Some claim that type 2 diabetes is a 'lifestyle' disease. Meaning that you get it from being lazy and fat. This is pure bunk. Fat & lazy just increases your risk and is NO guarantee that you will get any disease.
You have to have a genetic predisposition to the disease in order to get it that 'natural' way. I know MANY lazy fat people, old one's too, that don't have diabetes.
Another way to give yourself diabetes is to consume large quantities of high fructose corn syrup.

diabetes is when your pancreas doesnt produce enough insulin to break down sugars in your body into glucose. Glucose is what gives your body energy from food. You overload the pancreas by eating too much sugars, carbs ect which makes the pancreas work overtime in producing insulin. Having been overworked for a period of time it starts to shut down and not produce enough insulin to break down the sugars to fuel your body.
Thats why people who have diabetes test thier blood sugar level daily. It makes sure that thier body has enough insulin to break down sugar.
Without the proper amount of insulin they will go into a sugar induced coma and die.Posted 2 years ago # -
Have your pancreas taken out. Thats about the only way you're guaranteed 100% that you'll get diabetes...although you might have some more problems with that because the pancreas does more than just secreting insulin.
Being overweight is only a risk factor for developing type 2. People at a healthy weight and who eat healthy all their lives can still end up with type 2 diabetes...its just not as likely.
syl c: Where the heck did those "stats" come from? from a legit resource or just your imagination?

Overwork your pancreas and underwork your fitness needs.
