I'm allergic to almost everything on earth I think. I haven't let them test me cause,I'll admit,I'm scared of needles and I'm not about to let anybody get scratch happy on me besides my girlfriend(okay maybe that was a lil too much info). But my eye(just the one) has been itching,watering and red for the past 3 days. My face has broken out in hives from only God knows what and my eye did at the same time. I have to work so I can't take Benadryl 24 hours like I need to so I can get rid of it but my face seems to be clearing up but my eye is worse now. I can't even really blink because I guess my eye lid is swollen.
Since that happened,I'm starting to wonder if I should go see the doctor because it could be infected. I've never had an eye infection so I don't know what to look for exactly. And it's still just the one eye. I also wonder because I have a temp of 101.2 degrees F.
Do you think I should go see a doctor or take off work for a few days and take Benadryl around the clock to try and clear it up? If you do think it's infected,could you please tell me what the symptoms are and if I can treat it with OTC meds?
