    Chemo...ooh D:

Try to distract her...? You know, talk to her, play with her, tell her jokes, etc.
Its kind of hard to make chemo fun, but just distract her and try to make it better.

Definitely some kind of activity, maybe a board game or cards, but something that you can do with her, maybe even some coloring books. The port is not as limiting as an IV and there is room to switch positions in the chemo chair so it wont be to hard to play a game of some type. I hope this helps and good luck my prays are with you.

P.S. Im 34 and my mom goes to chemo with me every week and I draw off her strength, as long as she stays calm I usually do to, plus after every chemo she gets me a little surprise, nothing expensive for example she got me a 10 cent plastic ring, sounds corny but it just gave me something to look forward to once the chemo day was done.

Get a really special toy, such as a princess Barbie, and keep it only for during the chemo.

As far a making chemo fun, there is no steadfast way to do that. You just have to know your child and go with the flow. Plan for games, movies, etc. but be ready to ask her as much as possible "what would you like to do, honey". Many people react differently to treatment so she may not feel up to doing anything.

I have cancer and though I am not a child anymore some of the things I have seen at the children's hospital have worked one. One of which is getting your daughter a doll who does all of her treatment with her so she is not along. Maybe one that looks kinda like her. Many times the Dr. and nurse will let your child play with extra gauze, tubes, syringes, masks, etc. Pediatric oncologist are used to kids and I've even seen Dr. do mock procedures on dolls to show children not be afraid. When the doll is brave, your daughter will tend to follow. Then it can seem like she isn't going through treatment alone, but with a best buddy. Also it will make her feel more like she is playing doctor instead of really being stuck at the Dr.

Hope this helps, will be praying for a quick recovery. I have ALL as well ... best of luck!
