How do you pop your ears?

I'm 14 years old and currently suffering a bad cold. Cough, Stuffy nose, Fever, Sore throat. All of that fun stuff. I've had hundreds of colds in my life but never one where it seems like I have fluid in my ear. My left ear has SO much pressure and it feels like I have water in it. I've never had an ear infection before so I don't think that is the case. But I've never had a plugged up ear that lasted this long either. It's been two days! I just can't get it to pop. I've tried

-Plugging my nose and blowing (all that did was pop my right ear)
-Chewing gum for like 3 hours
-Sucking on those candy hearts I got for valentines day (yum!)
    -Yawning

I don't know what else to do! Any ideas? Thanks

Try lying on your left side (it's worked for me) or try the Dry-Ear stuff you usually use after swimming. If the problem persists, you may want to consider seeing your doctor.

All of those are normal ways of getting your ears unstopped up. Maybe you do have an ear infection? Go to a doctor. They'll be able to tell you. There's always a first time for everything. You could also have a lot of ear wax that is built up and causing pressure. Try cleaning your ears out. You might need to the doctors to do it for you though. They squirt water in your ear and let it break up the ear wax.
