My psychiatrist just prescribed Adderall at a low dosage (10mg) to help with me with focus and severe lack of motivation in my everyday life. (For background info, I have had an adult ADD/ADHD evaluation, which was non-conclusive, and I've also seen a sleep specialist to address daytime fatigue due to frequent night awakenings, for which I take another medication.) I've been on Adderall for only a few days.
I was wondering among those who have taken it for short or long periods, about how long does the affect last? Does it last all day, or only 8 hours, or 6 hours, etc? I have noticed that it's MUCH different from caffeine, from which I'll feel adrenaline-pumping hyper for a few hours, then get fuzzy. Adderall seems to help me merely feel awake... which is an amazing feeling when you're used to walking around in a fog most of the time.
