How long does an HIV+ person live without medication?

    I know people are now living longer lives with HIV due to current trements and drugs.But not everyone can afford them so i was wondering how long would a person live with HIv without meds?

    5 with no medication, 20 with medication

    It depends cos its not the HIV that kills you its the week immune system making you prone to other illnesses.

    The person would live until he or she was exposed to a pathology that his or her immune system was inable to suppress. This could happen within weeks or years I would think. Too many variables.

    Its hard to tell. Most people with HIV will develop AIDS without treatment in 4-10 years. Most of them close to 5 years.
    After you develop AIDS, most people will die in a year without any treatment.
    With treatment people can live for more than 20 years and live well!
