The incubation period is up to 2 weeks. I actually just had it last year. I got it from my kids and I had it already when I was a kid. If you get it as an adult, believe me you'll know. It makes you deathly ill. The doctor in the ER told me I was lucky not to have to be hospitalized because alot of adults have to be when they get it. You start off with the itchy spots and have a fever and ache all over, after that it a full week of sheer hell and ceaseless itching. I wasn't even able to get out of bed to feed myself, pray he doesn't have it.
